Frank Youngwerth, who quit smoking on August 9, 1963, sends a strong message to smokers... that they have a choice: quit now or wait until it's too late. Youngwerth interviews a filmmaker, Matt Pallotta, about his entertaining anti-smoking PSA and its origins; and Tobacco Treatment Specialist Laura Loew about statistics and methods of 'smashing the ash.' The program is intended to inform, entertain and encourage smokers to give up the habit that kills 1200 people every day in the U.S.
