NOTE: As a part of honoring the military, as well as veterans, we see a 1945 Movietone Newsreel, narrated by Lowell Thomas, about the final days of WW2, the surrender of the Japanese and the signing of the surrender papers by the Japanese leaders, and General of the Army Douglas MacArthur and his general staff. TOM VINCE: As a salute to veterans, Tom describes to time of the War of 1812 with troops moving through Hudson, militia gathering on the Hudson Green, and visiting David Hudson, etc. Several notable veterans are buried in the Hudson cemeteries.
